The Quality Engineer I is responsible for ensuring product and process quality through the development and implementation of quality standards, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, conduct root cause analyses, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials, processes, and products.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
- Perform statistical analysis and process capability studies to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans.
- Utilize Six Sigma, Lean, or other methodologies to improve quality performance and reduce variability.
- Support new product development by ensuring quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Monitor and report key quality metrics to leadership, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or regulated industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data analytics (Minitab, JMP, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with GD&T, FMEA, and process validation.
- Strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to high temperatures.
- Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits and off-site visits.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in manufacturing in the automotive, aerospace, or other industries.
