Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to perform quality control tests on materials (sand/rock) using ASTM and AASHTO standards. You will conduct lab and field sampling, analyze data, and help maintain QA documentation across multiple regional sites.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with some technical science coursework and at least two years of QC laboratory experience. Travel and overtime are possible, with strict safety compliance throughout.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary technical education or coursework in sciences that deals with laboratory functions preferred.
• Experience in laboratory testing and QA/QC workflows is beneficial.
• Strong data handling and analytical skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ongoing lab and field sampling; ensure materials meet specifications.
• Perform problem-solving and data analyses related to aggregate performance.
• Document material control plans and QA data for projects.
• Service, repair, and calibration of lab and field testing equipment.
• Update QA databases and provide summaries or analyses as needed.
• Demonstrate reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
• Learn plant flow and operations; adhere to safety policies.
• Travel to multi-region locations and work overtime when required.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
