Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Lockport Agg NY to perform quality control tests on products and report results per ASTM and AASHTO standards. You will participate in data analysis, troubleshooting, and implementation of quality initiatives across multiple plants in the region.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1-3 years of experience, and certifications like DOT Aggregate Technician or MSHA, with ability to obtain within specified months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of work experience
• DOT Aggregate Technician Certificate or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Mine Safety and Health Administration Certificate (MSHA) or ability to obtain within 6 months via Holcim training

Responsibilities

• Carry out ongoing lab and field sampling and testing to ensure material meets state, project and customer specs
• Develop, administer, implement and document material control plans and related data
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field testing equipment
• Update QA test databases and provide report summaries and analyses
• Learn basic operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants
• Provide troubleshooting guidance and technical support for plants in the geographic area
• Assist Plant Supervisents and Managers as required
• Promote safety policies and a culture of safety in all work environments
