Job summary

Clarkson Construction Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform materials sampling, testing, and documentation for heavy civil projects including roadways, bridges, and airports in the Kansas City region.

You will work under Senior Quality Control Technicians and Managers to ensure compliance with project specifications and company quality standards, performing tests per ASTM, AASHTO, MoDOT, and related procedures and reporting results in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) are required.
• Ability to travel locally to project sites is required.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials (concrete, soils, aggregates) per MoDOT/KDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements.
• Conduct sampling and testing as directed by QC Management.
• Perform concrete placement testing.
• Perform moisture-density and field density testing, including nuclear gauge testing where certified.
• Accurately document and submit test results using company systems.
