Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Specialist (Civil) to verify installation, testing, and structural integrity of earthwork, concrete, steel, paving and utilities, ensuring compliance with contract documents and codes.

You will review plans, inspect work, witness field and lab tests, and collaborate with project teams and third-party inspectors to close punch lists and deliver safe, quality facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction, site infrastructure, concrete placement, structural steel, or quality assurance/control.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents (plans and specifications) and subcontractor submittals to ensure contract compliance.
• Inspect and verify the installation of earthwork, subgrade/aggregate bases, cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioning/rebar, structural steel framing, asphalt/concrete paving, drainage and underground utilities for compliance with contract documents and codes.
• Ensure all civil and structural installations conform to contract documents and industry codes such as ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, AWS, and DOT specs.
• Witness and verify field and laboratory testing (soil compaction, concrete slump, air content, cylinder breaks, asphalt density, underground utility pressure tests).
• Collaborate with project management, subcontractors, geotechnical engineers, and inspectors to resolve non-conforming work and close punch lists.
