Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician for our customer, County Materials, located in Roberts, WI.

Job Duties:
  1. Perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
  2. Inspect materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
  3. Record observations and make recommendations for process improvements.
  4. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry.
  5. Observe the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of products.
  6. Collaborate with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
  7. Maintain housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.
  8. Perform other tasks as needed.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • Work near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
  • Operate in a noisy environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds frequently.
  • Occasional lifting of >40 Pounds.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Understanding of a manufacturing environment.
  • Concrete plant and/or quality control experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to train and obtain technical certifications.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in construction or building materials industry is a plus but not required.
