Responsibilities
QA Control Technician Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to company Quality Control procedures, as related to overall inspection requirements. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cooperate with production personnel and supervision to ensure maximum production with optimum quality, as established by management.
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material, parts, and assemblies to specifications and Mechanical Prints following standard shop practice and/or special instructions.
- Perform specific calibrations, specific tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record the results.
- Initiate NCRs and communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
- Dispose of rejected material.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; vocational or associate degree pertaining to position preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use standard and metric tape measures, calibers, weld gauges, etc.
- Must be or become CI/QAI certified within 90 days in this position as well as Liquid Penetrant certified.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Close, distant, and color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong analytical skills and experience reading drawings/prints.
- Previous experience inspecting components and writing technical reports preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching, and may frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Work in medium industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, climbing ladders/stairs and working in cramped quarters.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation & Schedule
Starting Pay: $28.97 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
1st Shift Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm.
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly.
