We are seeking an individual with attention to detail to join our quality control division.

1. Follows GMP, Quality, and safety practices.
2. Tests products for temperatures throughout production.
3. Visually inspects products at various stages of production.
4. Selects products for overall quality.
5. Inspects packages for proper dates, codes, seals, and gas mixtures.
6. Verifies correct net weight of product.
7. Observes employees to ensure they are following good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and HACCP critical control points.
8. Records relevant information on food tags.
9. Reviews hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) records related to product cooking processes.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in Quality Control or Assurance preferred.
2. Understanding of OSHA and/or USDA desired.
3. Experience in a food-meat production facility is a plus.
4. Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
5. Food or meat science education is a plus.
6. Ability to work in a cold environment (about 30 degrees).
7. Use of both hands, with manual dexterity.
8. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs required.
9. Ability to operate a keyboard, telephone, and laboratory equipment.
10. Normal hearing and vision (including color vision) for recording and communication.
11. Lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
12. Exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.
