Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect and document concrete products, ensuring compliance with ASTM and DOT specifications. You will stamp products and manage certifications while supporting a regional QC team in a dynamic industrial setting.

You will perform daily quality tests, mentor technicians, and document results to uphold product integrity and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Maintain and document required records and paperwork.
• Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions, including extreme heat.
• Operate near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
• Meet ASTM and DOT specs for products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product
• Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment
• Maintain all plant and personal certifications thru ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT's
• Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.)
• Supervise, lead and mentor a group of Quality Control Technicians throughout out the region
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard

Your Education

• High School Diploma,GEDor Tech Certificaterequired
• Must have and maintain ACI Field Tech and ACI Strength Tech certifications
• Mustacquireandmaintainmultiple state DOT certifications
