Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect and document material quality at multiple plants, ensuring DOT and ASTM compliance. You will lead QC technicians regionally and help maintain certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Tech Certificate required.
• Must have ACI Field Tech and ACI Strength Tech certifications.
• Must acquire and maintain multiple state DOT certifications.
• Crane certification and forklift certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product.
• Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specs.
• Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment.
• Maintain all plant and personal certifications through ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOTs.
• Perform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.).
• Supervise, lead, and mentor a group of Quality Control Technicians throughout the region.
• Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standards.

• Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
