Specific duties include supervising and coordinating the activities of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors, ensuring reported deficiencies are appropriately documented and communicated to operations, and ensuring corrections are complete through thorough follow-up and Quality Control work order sign-off.

What you’ll do as a Quality Control Supervisor

• Manage work schedules for Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors to meet business goals and deadlines
• Supervise the daily activities of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors
• Understand the standards and requirements of the assigned work area and train staff accordingly
• Conduct virtual and in-person jobsite inspections to ensure quality control efforts are consistent
• Perform the functions of Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors as needed
• Assist with property and utility damage claims in coordination with EHS Department personnel
• Prepare for and participate in customer or regulatory inspections and audits professionally
• Coordinate employee documentation and development efforts with Management and HR
• Travel as required; other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Associates degree in a utility construction-related program and 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of communication utility prints, specs, and units
• Ability to read and understand instructions, contract language, and unit descriptions
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software, preferably Google-based applications
• Understanding of basic arithmetic and measurement units
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Current DOT health card
• Valid driver’s license; Class A license preferred
