Job summary

Role Description

The Quality Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Tacoma, WA. This position is responsible for inspecting jewelry, watches, and custom pieces to ensure they meet JD&Co.’s quality standards before leaving the workshop. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing work against specifications, verifying accuracy of repairs and settings, documenting inspection results, and identifying defects or process issues. The specialist collaborates with production teams to address non-conformities, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and helps maintain consistent quality across all services. This role also involves adherence to established procedures, careful handling of high-value items, and clear communication with supervisors and craftspeople.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance within manufacturing, jewelry, watchmaking, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Quality Management principles, including establishing and following standardized inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar production
