Job summary

Saban Onyx in New York, NY is seeking a Jewelry Quality Control specialist to ensure every piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship before shipment. You will inspect finished and in-process jewelry and report defects.

This role requires a sharp eye, strong knowledge of gemstone setting and metalworking, and the ability to collaborate with production and design teams. GIA training is a plus and will help you contribute to maintaining exceptional quality across our collections in a

Qualifications

• Experience in jewelry quality control, inspection, or production.
• Knowledge of fine jewelry construction, gemstone setting, and metalworking.
• Excellent attention to detail and visual acuity.
• Familiar with QC documentation and reporting processes.
• Ability to use loupes, microscopes, or other inspection tools.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• GIA certification or gemological training is a plus.

• Evaluate metal quality, prong integrity, clasp functionality, and surface polish.
• Document and report quality issues, defects, and non-conformances accurately.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Ensure all products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications before shipment.
• Maintain detailed QC logs and inspection records.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce defect rates.
