Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a QC Microbiology Associate I (Environmental Monitoring & Critical Utilities) in Norwood, MA, 100% onsite. The role supports clinical and commercial operations with a 4-day, 10-hour work week (Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM).

What You’ll Do

• Core Operations: Conduct Environmental Monitoring (Routine, In-Process, and EMPQs), Water for Injection (WFI) sampling, and compressed gas sampling.
• Data & Systems: Manage data entry, review, and trending using LIMS, and support quality system records (Deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls).
• Lab Engagement: Maintain lab equipment, troubleshoot test methods, revise SOPs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and audits.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional and external labs for sample coordination and testing.

What You’ll Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (0+ years of experience in a GMP QC laboratory setting focusing on microbiology).
• Technical Skills: Hands-on familiarity with particle counters, viable air samplers, gas equipment, and aseptic techniques.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with LIMS, SAP, eQMS, and MS Office.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid foundation in GMP guidelines (FDA, EU, ICH) and general laboratory instrumentation.
