Job summary

Sauer-Construction, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a project at the Norfolk Naval Station VA. The role requires full authority over the CQC plan and QC operations, coordinating with subcontractors and clients, and overseeing inspections and documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in construction management or engineering, 10 years QC management experience on similar projects, and USACE Construction Quality Management certification, plus 5 years’ DoD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• Candidate must have 5 years’ DOD experience and 10 years’ QC management on similar projects.
• Certificate for “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” from USACE.
• 30 Hour OSHA in construction.
• Excellent knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with many Subcontractors.
• Plan days and weeks in advance.
• Conduct QCM weekly meetings professionally and instill client confidence.
• Perform/coordinate inspections.
• Upload and manage QC data daily.
• Experience with high end renovations.
• Perform submittal review functions.
• Complete required daily documentation.
