Job summary

RQ Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to join our Field Operations in Norfolk, VA. You will lead project-specific quality control programs, coordinate inspections, and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with contract requirements.

As a CQCM, you will safeguard safety, quality, and client satisfaction on DoD projects, potentially working second shifts. Local candidates are preferred; relocation assistance may be available for qualified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles such as Project Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on comparable projects.
• At least 3 years of dedicated experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager.
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, hazard identification, compliance procedures, and sustainability practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer/internet applications.
• Experience with Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS platforms is a plus.
• Maritime construction experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and management of project-specific quality control programs.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Support client relationships throughout all construction phases.
• Contribute to safety and quality culture on the project.
