Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Quality Control Manager to take full control of the CQC plan for the Sauer project on a site at the Norfolk Naval Station, VA. You will have full authority to act on all QC matters and coordinate with subcontractors daily.

The role requires a Bachelor's in construction management or engineering, 5 years of DoD QC experience, and a USACE Construction Quality Management certificate, plus OSHA 30. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is required.
• USACE Certification in Construction Quality Management is required.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification is required.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage QC data daily.
• Lead weekly QCM meetings with client and subcontractors.
• Perform inspections and submittal reviews; maintain required documentation.

Job description

Position Summary:

Person will be responsible for taking full control of CQC plan for Sauer on a project at the Norfolk Naval Station VA. Person will be responsible for overall management of the CQC plan and having full authority to act in all QC matters.

Essential Functions:

• Capable of coordinating with many Subcontractors
• Efficient/Able to plan days, weeks in advance
• Detail driven
• Skillful communicator with client/subcontractors
• Able to conduct QCM weekly meeting in a highly professional manner and instill confidence in client in the QC operations
• Perform/coordinate inspections
• Upload and manage QC data on a daily basis
• Experience with high end renovations
• Perform submittal review functions
• Proficient completing required daily documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering
• Candidate must have 5 years’ DOD experience 10 years’ experience as a QC Manager on similar projects
• Certificate for “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” from USACE
• 30 Hour OSHA in construction
• Excellent knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
