Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company in South Bend, Indiana seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC lab, coordinate quality audits, and ensure timely, accurate test reports and product disposition.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical discipline and 5–10+ years in quality within specialty chemicals or adhesives; experience with ISO 9001/14001 and SAP is preferred. Strong leadership and communication are essential for cross-functional collaboration at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10+ years of quality experience in specialty chemicals, adhesives or related technology.
• Knowledge of Quality Management processes and standards (ISO 9001, 14001 & Aerospace standards).
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Culture at site and ensure all Quality processes are understood and followed.
• Coach, mentor, and train the quality control team to ensure high productivity and technical integrity.
• Develop and implement plant operations and quality control plans to reduce COPQ and improve metrics using tools like SPC and control charts.
• Manage inspections and documentation; oversee supplier audits and new product introductions.
