Job summary

Knife River in Harrisburg, OR is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to lead the Harrisburg QC Team and act as liaison between outside inspectors and the plant. You will ensure project specs and PCI standards are followed and that the plant's certifications are maintained.

The role involves supervising a technicians team, organizing QC documents, maintaining ASTM compliance, and collaborating with vendors and customers to resolve issues and support field repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the Quality Control Team including duty assignments and scheduling to ensure inspection coverage.
• Direct and report quality control issues to management/engineering and maintain PCI standards.
• Organize and maintain all quality control documents, programs and manuals.
• Train plant team members on quality standards and processes.
• Manage Lab, equipment and ASTM compliance.
• Serve as liaison to outside vendors, customers and inspectors.
• Respond to field quality issues and perform jobsite visits and repairs as needed.
• Adjust stress calculations when required.
• Resolve conflicts within the QC team and with external stakeholders.
• Understand and develop conventional and SCC mix designs to meet requirements.
• Promote safety policies; participate in safety activities.
