Job summary

Knife River Northwest in Harrisburg, OR seeks a Quality Control Coordinator to lead the Quality Control Team at our Prestress Plant. You will act as liaison between outside inspection personnel and the plant, ensuring PCI standards and plant quality standards are met.

The role requires hands-on management of QC staff, adherence to ASTM standards, and ability to train team members. Travel and overtime may be required to support field inspections and jobsite visits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in precast or prestressed concrete manufacturing.
• Experience in concrete materials testing or construction QC/inspection.
• PCI Quality Certification Level III or ability to obtain within 3 years.
• Ability to travel or work overtime as needed.
• Proficiency in Windows and Office; familiarity with quality software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control Team and schedule inspection coverage.
• Maintain PCI standards and DOT certifications.
• Organize, file, and maintain QC documents digitally.
• Liaise with outside vendors, inspectors and customers.
• Respond to field quality issues and support field repairs.
• Oversee Quality Lab, equipment, and ASTM compliance.
• Develop mix designs to meet specs.
• Lead safety practices and participate in safety meetings.
