Job summary

Knife River Prestress is an on-site, hands-on Quality Control Technician role focusing on concrete materials testing, dimensional inspections, and PCI compliance within our prestressed concrete facility.

You will interpret shop drawings, operate inspection equipment, and maintain accurate quality records with minimal supervision while supporting production teams and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2 years in precast or prestressed concrete QC
• Ability to read shop drawings and specifications
• Proficient with measurement tools and inspection data
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work overtime
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Experience with ASTM testing

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM testing daily to support concrete production.
• Inspect prestressed concrete products against fabrication drawings before, during and after casting per tolerances.
• Verify reinforcing steel placement and lifting hardware against shop drawings.
• Perform dimensional inspections and verify PCI/project tolerances.
• Document inspection data and report non-conforming products.
• Work with production to resolve quality concerns and maintain conformance.
• Support plant safety initiatives and maintain a clean work area.
