Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. seeks an Assistant Quality Control Manager to lead the project QC program and develop site-specific QC plans.

You will implement the three-phase control system, ensure compliance with safety and contract requirements, and document daily activities with reports on dredging projects along the eastern seaboard and Gulf Coast. The role requires on-site presence, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with owner representatives, engineers and subcontractors to achieve

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or STEM with 3+ years government contract experience.
• Alternatively, 5 years of related construction project work, marine projects preferred.
• Must obtain Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project Quality Control program and develop the project QC plan.
• Implement the three-phase control system and align with policy, regs and contract.
• Verify compliance with safety plans and EM-385-1-1 standards.
• Document daily construction activities with Daily Construction Reports.
• Manage testing schedules and punch list items; oversee tests and certifications.
• Hold regular meetings with clients as the communication hub for project teams.
• Ensure contract documents are met and review subcontractor inspections.
