Quality Control Laboratory Technician
Onsite – Millsboro, DE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
The Quality Control Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in conducting laboratory tests for veterinary biologicals in compliance with stringent regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety and company policies; always practice safe work habits
Perform laboratory testing using aseptic techniques in compliance with guidelines
Maintain accurate, concurrent documentation including logs, charts, and test results
Operate and set up lab equipment and clean workspaces (floors, tables, walls, etc.)
Enter test results in the QC tracking system and conduct record cross-checks
Perform advanced mathematical calculations, conversions, and formulations
Evaluate testing standards and assist in ongoing sequential analysis
Report any unusual or non-routine findings to management
Handle hazardous, universal, and/or infectious waste in compliance with regulations
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of lab experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline
Proficiency in analytical instrumentation, microscopic analysis, and biological assays
Strong aseptic technique and familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Effective written and verbal communication
SAP system knowledge
Familiarity with LIMS for Environmental Monitoring (EM)
Work indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage areas
Regular physical activity: standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, LN gear, and safety shoes as required
