Job summary

Capital Materials is seeking a QC Lab Technician for the 2026 paving season to inspect and test asphalt materials and ensure compliance with specifications. The role covers Powhatan, AR and Batesville, AR quarries, with daytime travel to other sites as needed.

You will operate lab equipment, record results, and maintain safety standards. Prior QC experience is a plus, and a valid drivers license is required. This is a full-time, outdoor role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous QC experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently under strict time guidelines.
• Proven track record of completing jobs while meeting safety, budget and schedule goals.
• Must have a valid driver7s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide test results and reports to QC Manager.
• Conduct core sampling and asphalt/aggregate testing.
• Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Record results and maintain test data files.
• Communicate regularly with QC staff and drivers.
• Assist in investigating customer technical problems.
