Job summary

Specialty Fabricating Co. in Omaha, NE is seeking a full-time fabrication professional responsible for checking the fit and fabrication of welded structural material to ensure accurate layouts and weld patterns.

You will verify tolerances and apply appropriate finish coats (Primer paint, Finish Paint, Galvanized, etc.). When needed, accompany Project Managers to project locations to verify issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CWI is a plus.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures and safety protocols.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and tolerances.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Check fit and fabrication of welded structural material for accurate layout and weld patterns.
• Ensure all products meet tolerances and receive correct finish coats (primer, paint, galvanized).
• Travel with Project Managers to job sites to verify issues and identify corrective actions.
• Track production materials in the plant and keep organized records for each project.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe fabrication environment.
• Collaborate with team to ensure on-time delivery and quality craftsmanship.
