Aerotek is seeking a Quality Inspector for a contract position in South San Francisco, CA. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes, ensuring conformance to drawings and data packages.

You will review specifications, document nonconformances, support root-cause investigations, and apply QA/QC standards in a quiet, focused team environment. This onsite role offers contract-to-hire potential.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with microscope inspection of small electronic devices.
• Good dexterity and attention to detail; ESD controls knowledge.

• Process materials and documents per Mil-Spec, SOW, or SCD.
• Manage incoming/outgoing materials between vendors and customers.
• Handle inventory transactions efficiently.
• Support Program Managers through QA/QC system operation.

• Generate repair orders for outside services such as DPA, X-Ray, and Re-life.
• Review manufacturer data and test reports.
• Document issues and provide feedback to suppliers.

Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing incoming, in‑process, and final inspections on components and assemblies. You will verify conformance using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes. Your role will involve reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packages, as well as documenting nonconformances and supporting root‑cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily visual inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Process materials and documents in accordance with Mil-Spec, SOW, or SCD.
• Manage incoming and outgoing materials between vendors and customers.
• Handle inventory transactions efficiently.
• Support Program Managers through QA/QC system operation.
• Apply the latest QA/QC standards in operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
