Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Inspector. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of inspection activities. Someone able to detect and be part of the resolution of problems. Ensures that the product integrity and quality standards are being met. Monitors, supports and helps improve the Quality Management System (QMS). Helps to create and maintain a positive and effective quality mindset atmosphere.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring Final Inspection process is completed on all required parts.
- Responsible for ensuring Incoming Inspection process is completed on all required parts.
- Monitor and help improve quality on the production floor.
- Handle In-process Inspection on production lines or product cells.
- Ensure Quality protocols/standards are met on the production floor.
- Monitor and improve supplier quality.
- Handle supplier non-conforming products.
- Ensure completion of the VNCR (Vendor Nonconformance Report) process.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Create internal corrective actions and validate the effectiveness of corrective & preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Production to ensure Material Review Board (MRB) processes are completed.
- Assist in improving work instructions during product manufacturing.
- Participate in improving QMS documentation.
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for the Quality Department.
- Understand customer expectations and requirements and assist in their implementation.
- Ensure all special customer requirements are met for their orders.
- Participate in handling and resolving customer complaints.
- Promote collaborative work and cross-functional teamwork to improve business efficiency while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Ensure all employees return home safely at the end of their workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
- Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light machinery.
- Lift up to 49 lbs.
- Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems for tracking production and inventory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, D365, SAP, or other quality management software.
- Knowledge of metric measurements.
- Ability to read and write in English and follow basic instructions.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work well with hands.
- Self-disciplined and able to work independently.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance at a manufacturing site.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Quality assurance certification is a plus.
