Responsibilities:
- Examine engine components for defects or damage before storage.
- Record inspection findings, including non-conformances, and ensure proper labeling and tracking.
- Follow procedures for preparing and storing parts, including corrosion prevention and environmental controls.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, requiring 3 years of practical experience.
- Inspect to engineering requirements per ANSI Y14.5 or equivalent standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders.
- Use mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, CMM, and hardness testers.
- Examine parts thoroughly for minor imperfections and verify tight tolerances.
- Document inspection findings accurately and concisely.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to parts storage and handling.
- Be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
- Work as an independent contractor (1099) with LLC/DBA or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
