Job Description

Job Purpose for Quality Inspector: Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results at an Aerospace company.

Duties of Quality Inspector:

1. Approves in-process and finished products by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests.
2. Ensures all parts and materials comply with specifications, working from purchase orders, special process certifications, operation sheets, blueprints, and other documents.
3. Performs complex dimensional layout inspections according to operation sheets/blueprints.
4. Completes Inspection Method Sheets and verifies special process certifications to meet part specifications.
5. Performs 1st piece/FAI inspections. Knowledge of Inspection Xpert/Net-Inspect is a plus.

Aerospace Inspector Skills/Qualifications:

1. Layout experience is a plus.
2. 0-8 years of experience as an inspector in Aerospace or a similar industry.
3. Analyzing manufacturing methods and procedures.
4. GD&T skills are highly emphasized.
5. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, analytical and shop math skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
