POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and inspections in multiple areas of semi-finished and finished components according to FDA and/or ISO 13485 requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and understand all QC documents, OPs, and engineering drawings related to the department and position.
• Read, understand, and enforce all Galt Medical standards concerning Quality and Safety.
• Use complex measuring and inspection devices.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Maintain basic computer literacy (i.e., Windows Office).
• Adhere to GMP procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

• High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and understand AQL sampling plans.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Basic MS Office skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to work with proper clean room gowns.
• Requires occasional standing, sitting, walking, typing, talking, hearing, close and distance reading, and the ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
