Job description

As a Quality Control Inspector III, you'll use your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped products meet all quality requirements. Your responsibilities include visually inspecting materials, parts, and products at various stages of production, recording observations, and recommending process improvements. You will inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and decide to accept, reject, or request rework of defective units or systems. Additionally, you'll apply, revise, and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs and steps.
• Repeat hand, arm, and finger motions often, requiring dexterity.
• Require vision abilities including close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation.
• Require hearing abilities to discern tones and volumes.
• Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Frequently exposed to outdoor elements such as high/low temperatures, sun, rain, or snow.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
• Occasionally exposed to loud noises.

Safety Sensitive Position:

• Responsible for safety or security of people or property.
• Inspects, handles, or transports explosives or hazardous materials.
• Inspects structures, equipment, or vehicles.
• Performs aviation-related duties.
• Operates or supervises vehicles, heavy or dangerous machinery.

Must-haves:

• Knowledge of and ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
• Extensive experience with finished goods inspection.
• Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES.
• Understanding of material flow in operations.
• Ability to draft work instructions and SOPs.
• FAA A&P License is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED, typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher education may substitute for experience.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
