Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our Maintenance team. This role involves performing inspections and documenting quality control activities in accordance with FAA regulations and standards, ensuring all work complies with regulatory and manufacturer specifications.

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented with a strong understanding of airframe and powerplant systems. Experience with QC inspections and compliance is required, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and special inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Complete Required Item Inspections (RII)
  • Assemble and review work order packages, log entries, maintenance workcards, and related documents
  • Ensure parts and materials are properly tagged and segregated
  • Report faulty or inoperative equipment to supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of hangars and facilities
  • Ensure timely execution of quality control procedures and processes
  • Conduct internal audits as per the Safety Management System
  • Audit local vendors and maintenance providers at other locations
  • Understand operation of various airframe and powerplant systems
  • Ensure calibration of shop test equipment is accurate and report discrepancies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years' experience as an inspector in FAA 135 or Part 145 operations
  • Preferred experience with Gulfstream, Global Express, Falcon 900 EASy, Challenger 350, Citation Sovereign, King Air, or similar aircraft
Skills & Competencies:
  • Deep knowledge of FAA Part 135 and Part 145 regulations
  • Practical knowledge of airframe and engine repair
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in computer and aviation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Aviation/MRO databases, maintenance tracking software)
  • Ability to maintain detailed records
  • Problem-solving skills
Certifications, Licenses, & Badging
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification (required)
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
  • Ability to obtain Love Field Badge
  • Valid driver’s license
Additional Demands

Travel up to 25%; occasional overtime, phone duty, weekend duty, and hotline duty required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Exposed to various weather conditions and loud noise levels. Physically capable of sitting for extended periods, squatting, crawling, climbing, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Interaction with clients requires tact and teamwork. Business Jet is an IS-BAO Stage III Certified Operator with FAA-approved SMS/ASAP programs.
