Job summary

Moderna is seeking a Specialist, Quality Control to drive digital modernization of QC processes. You will support LIMS and enterprise lab systems, participate in AI initiatives, and work with QC, Digital, and IT teams to deploy scalable AI-enabled solutions that meet GMP and ALCOA+ standards.

The role focuses on system administration, validation, change control, and training of QC personnel. A BS in science with 3–5 years in biotech/QC and familiarity with LIMS/Chromoleon is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Sciences or relevant field required.
• 3–5 years in biotech/biopharma, QC/Digital/Automation preferred.
• Familiarity with AI applications, data analysis tools, and GMP environment.
• Understanding of lab informatics systems (LIMS, Chromatography Data Systems) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for QC laboratory systems (LIMS, Chromeleon) ensuring reliability and timely issue resolution.
• Perform system administration: user access management, configuration updates, software maintenance, and upgrades coordination.
• Serve as Tier 1 support for laboratory computer systems and document resolutions.
• Support implementation, testing, and deployment of system enhancements and new functionality.
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials related to equipment and software.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and ALCOA+ data integrity in quality system activities.
• Train QC personnel on software usage and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve system utilization.
• Collaborate with IT, Digital, and Regulatory teams to align with AI strategies.
• Monitor performance and adoption of AI tools; provide guidance on new technologies.
