Job summary

Moderna in the United States seeks an Associate Director, Quality Control Lab Automation Strategy & Digital Integration to lead the strategy, implementation, and lifecycle management of automation and digital integration across QC labs. You will define multi-year roadmaps for automation, robotics, and digital workflows that are scalable, compliant, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

Education: BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience: 10+ years with automation design/implementation in QC or GMP labs.
Certifications or Training: None
Ability to lead cross-functional programs and communicate value to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Define and govern QC automation roadmap across Moderna's QC network.
Develop multi-year automation strategy aligned with QC priorities and regulatory expectations.
Prioritize automation initiatives based on value, compliance, and technical readiness.
Lead automation portfolio including liquid handling robotics, sample management, and digital workflows.
Collaborate with Chromeleon, LES, LabVantage LIMS, LabX, MODA to ensure integration of automation technologies.
Establish governance, standards, and best practices for scalable implementations.
Communicate program progress and value realization to executives.
