Job summary

Elanco in Clinton, IN is seeking a QC Chemist to provide critical technical support for the Quality Control laboratory, ensuring cGMP compliance and product quality. You will collaborate with QA and Manufacturing to solve problems, improve methods, and manage analytical investigations.

You will lead investigations, own laboratory methods, drive lean improvements, review data, and coach technicians while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related scientific field.
• Experience in cGMP laboratory operations and analytical methodology.
• Proficiency in SAP, Empower, OneLab, Veeva and strong technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory investigations and deviations, performing root cause analysis to minimize recurrence and ensuring timely closure within regulatory guidelines.
• Act as a technical owner for laboratory methodology, maintaining analytical methods in a state of validation and ensuring all data execution remains in a state of control.
• Drive continuous improvement in laboratory operations and business processes through lean initiatives and inspection readiness activities.
• Review and approve analytical data while providing technical coaching and training to laboratory technicians to safeguard product quality.
• Serve as a safety role model, identifying and eliminating laboratory hazards to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
