Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Quality Control Specialist, Biochemistry in Elwood, KS. This role directs the QC laboratory operations, ownership of method validation, and investigations, and acts as a SME for lab equipment.

You will lead daily workloads and ensure compliance with quality policies. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Biochemistry or related field, with 4+ years in a lab or quality setting, strong communication, and the ability to work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily workload of Technicians and Specialists, ensuring QC policies are followed.
• Own method release testing and lead validations and technical transfers.
• Lead quality events incl. deviations, investigations, and change controls.
• Review QC activities; audit inventory and reagent qualifications.
• Serve as SME for laboratory equipment; coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Identify obsolete processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Support audits; prepare lab spaces for inspections.
• Promote safety, integrity, respect, and inclusion.
