Job summary

Dennen Steel LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) for Press and Coil operations and drive continuous improvement. You will oversee quality personnel, audits, PPAP readiness, and customer certifications, ensuring alignment with ISO/IATF requirements and customer expectations.

The role emphasizes leadership, performance management, and developing a culture of quality excellence and customer satisfaction across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Familiar with press: stamping/blanking and IATF16949 Quality System requirements.
• Associates degree in related field; CQE preferred and/or minimum of seven years' experience as a Quality Engineer with experience with a press (stamping/blanking), or tool & die environment.
• Experience leading quality personnel and coordinating audits, MRB, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for press and coil operations.
• Establish quality objectives, metrics and improvement plans aligned with customer expectations.
• Oversee audits (customer, certification, supplier) and ensure timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Manage MRB activities and disposition of nonconforming materials to minimize quality risks and costs.
• Serve as the quality liaison to customers, suppliers, operations, and leadership.

Education

Associates degree in related field

CQE preferred

7+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer (press stamping/blanking or tool & die)
