Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company in Mesquite, TX is offering a Quality & Continuous Improvement Internship within the Quality department. You will support manufacturing teams with data collection, analysis, and problem-solving to reduce waste and improve processes.

You'll work on cross-functional projects, gain hands-on experience in a real manufacturing environment, and present findings to managers, directors, and peers. This paid internship runs 12 weeks from late May to mid-August.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, food science, manufacturing, operations, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support projects focused on reducing manufacturing waste, rework, and material losses.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data related to waste, rework, batch failures, and process performance.
• Identify trends and recurring issues by product, process step, shift, and other factors.
• Support root-cause investigations using 5 Why, Pareto analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
• Work with Operations and Quality personnel to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Prepare summaries and presentations of project findings and improvement results.
