Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing seeks a Local Quality Manager to support the operational and technical supervisor in meeting timelines and quality measures in a fast-paced laboratory in Lancaster, PA.

You will train staff, manage document control, audits, supplier performance, and investigation of non-conformances to maintain ISO 17025 compliance and accurate pathogen testing for client samples.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field, or equivalent directly-related experience.
• Two years of directly related industry experience equals one year of college in related major.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the company vision and ensures staff adhere to management system requirements and ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC and government regulations.
• Reviews and distributes controlled documents and maintains SOPs, ensuring proper disposal of superseded documents.
• Provides guidance to laboratory personnel on document interpretation and training, and tracks training records for compliance.
• Ensures daily process controls for enumeration and pathogen testing with client samples and reviews data against acceptance criteria.
• Coordinates internal audits, method audits, and prepares audit reports with findings; supports root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintains equipment qualification, calibration schedules and procurement of contracted calibration services; ensures timely verifications.
• Verifies results and timely submission to appropriate personnel; supports proficiency testing and client communications.
• Maintains readiness for audits and client inquiries; oversees supplier performance and QA-related supplier oversight.
• Leads Quality Management Review meetings and coordinates audit responses with management; fosters cross-functional collaboration.
