Job summary

Bolney Wine Estate is seeking a Compliance & Quality Lead to protect the integrity of every bottle from vineyard to customer. This role blends quality systems with hands-on winemaking support, working alongside winemaking, production and wider teams to drive excellence across the estate.

You will develop and implement programmes such as HACCP and COSHH, lead audits, train staff and champion a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on sustainability and safe, high‑quality wines.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality, compliance, laboratory, or food manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and food safety requirements.
• Experience in winemaking processes or beverage production preferred.
• Experience of laboratory analysis and quality control procedures.
• Strong IT skills and ability to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance activities across winery and production operations.
• Develop and implement compliance programmes, policies and procedures (HACCP, COSHH, food safety).
• Conduct internal audits, inspections and reviews with corrective actions.
• Train and guide employees on compliance requirements and quality standards.
• Identify quality risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports, audit documentation and KPI tracking for safety and quality.
