Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure adherence to Customer, Regulatory, and internal Smurfit Westrock quality standards. You will oversee audits, CAPA, and the resolution of quality issues while collaborating with production leadership to improve product quality and drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years work-related production/manufacturing experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a production supervisory role preferred.
• Well-versed in analytical and statistical applications that support quality such as SPC and SQC.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Six Sigma Certification preferred.
• SQF Practitioner course and Hazard Analysis for Critical Control Points training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives for internal quality and customer complaint issues.
• Review and enforce site SOPs and corporate standards.
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Coordinate internal, customer, supplier, subcontractor, and regulatory audits.
• Deliver executive level presentations for customers and stakeholders.
• Work with production managers to maximize product quality and reliability while minimizing cost.
• Manage the CAPA system and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide daily quality data and feedback to facility and regional leadership.
• Ensure SQF documents are up to date and the plant complies with regulations.
