Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western seeks a Quality Manager I for the Mount Pleasant, WI Data Center Group. The role is responsible for implementing, improving and executing the Quality Management System and project-specific quality programs to ensure the design and construction work complies with company policies and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field experience; current certification required.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required
• Limited travel for projects as necessary
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role
• Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and time management
• Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications related to job duties

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, ensuring quality of works and documentation.
• Coach and train project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Lead and manage quality processes such as planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, QIRs, and inspections.
• Establish, monitor and report on KPIs and QIRs; analyze trends and drive improvements.
• Audit project quality programs and provide feedback on non-conformances.
• Direct inspection, testing and documentation; schedule inspections with operations, consultants and client.
• Create and implement project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control procedures.
• Support risk management to improve profitability through process management.
• Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and design partners.
• Support site safety and monitor quality costs and rework.
