Job summary

The Walsh Group in Mount Pleasant, WI seeks a Quality Manager I for the Data Center Group to implement and optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) across projects. You will lead quality planning, audits, testing, and documentation while mentoring site teams to ensure safety, quality and profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in AEC with at least 3 years in quality roles, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight schedules.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related field with QA certifications.
• Current certification in Construction Quality Management (USACE/NAVFAC/NRC) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role.
• Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects, responsible for the quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation and close-out to ensure safe, quality, efficient, effective and profitable project execution.
• Coaches, mentors and trains entire project staff in quality management principles, procedures and project-specific requirements.
• Establishes, monitors and reports on KPIs, as well as QIRs for project teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation of the works; coordinates between operations, laboratories and Client.
• Supports risk management and safety to improve profitability and project outcomes.
