Job summary

Walsh Group, Mount Pleasant, WI, is seeking a Quality Manager I to implement and run the QMS for data center projects, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and client requirements to deliver safe, high-quality, on-time execution.

You will lead quality across design and construction, manage KPIs, perform audits, and coordinate inspections with operations, labs and the client, while supporting growth within a family-owned company backed by a large national footprint.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor's degree or equivalent related field experience with NICET or similar credentials.
• USACE/NAVFAC/NRC Construction Quality Management certification preferred but not required.
• Limited travel for projects as necessary.
• Level 1 QCM.
• Minimum 7 years of AEC experience, with 3 years in a Quality role.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and time management.
• Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications related to duties.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for projects, ensuring quality of works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coaches and mentors project staff in quality management principles and requirements.
• Leads work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, QA/QC follow-up.
• Establishes and reports KPIs and QIRs to drive continuous improvement.
• Audits project quality programs and provides feedback on major QIRs and non-conformances.
• Directs inspection, testing and documentation; coordinates between operations, labs and client.
• Develops project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control procedures.
• Oversees risk management to improve profitability.
• Maintains relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Supports site safety to meet safety procedures and goals.
• Monitors quality costs and rework, supports budgeting and risk reporting.
