Job summary

Frost is seeking a Quality Automation Engineer III to drive test automation for our complex banking applications. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests across web, mobile, and API layers, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product and development teams to ensure high-quality software with integrity and excellence.

4+ years in test automation, strong Java or Python skills, and experience with Selenium/Playwright are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of test automation experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python with Selenium/Playwright frameworks.
• SQL knowledge and exposure to databases.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Ability to identify issues and defects in code independently.
• Experience with automated functional and regression tests across web, mobile, and API layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, build, and deploy test automation solutions for complex systems.
• Lead troubleshooting of escalated issues with project teams to find root causes and improvements.
• Mentor other Test Automation Engineers to align with Frost's framework.

As a Quality Automation Engineer III , you are our quality control, ensuring every application is stable and built with integrity, caring and excellence. You'll play an important role in the design, creation, and testing of applications to ensure the quality and stability in every system. What you'll do:

• Oversee, design, review, build, and deploy test automation solutions and framework for the most complex, interrelated systems to ensure the quality and stability of software applications
• Lead the troubleshooting and triage of the most complex escalated system issues with project teams to identify the root causes, resolve issues, and implement process improvements
• Guide and mentor other Test Automation Engineers to ensure that their test automation solutions and scripts align with Frost's automation framework and industry standards
• Collaborate with product management, project management, development teams, and business stakeholders to develop project, product, and testing objectives
• Write and execute functional test cases as needed

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of test automation experience
• Technical development experience with multiple programming or scripting languages like JAVA, Python while using Selenium/Playwright as framework
• Exposure to database technologies and SQL queries
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts and design patterns
• Expertise in independently identifying technical issues including misconfigurations and defects in code
• Demonstrated experience in developing functional and regression automation solutions across web, mobile and API layers with reusable components
• Expert knowledge of the role of Test Automation and Software Quality Assurance in the development process including test planning, execution, and production support
• Demonstrated experience leading testing efforts for complex projects and applications and partnering closely with stakeholders
• Experience with a distributed version-control management system like GIT, BitBucket

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience using automated testing tools like Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, JMeter, SoapUI, Playwright
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD integration including Jenkins, Maven, Splunk etc.
• Knowledge of Non-Functional Testing (Performance, Security and Accessibility Testing)
• Exposure to Insurance applications and functionality preferred
