Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in food science, biological sciences, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 2 to 5 years of quality assurance, manufacturing, or related experience, preferably in a food, beverage, or similar facility.
• Demonstrated leadership attributes or team leadership experience; supervisor experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – PCQI, HACCP, SQF Practitioner certifications preferred; these and other certifications may be required during course of employment

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction and supervision to QA and laboratory employees to ensure DFA product safety and quality.
• Develop and maintain food safety and quality programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
• Review records, write procedures, and coordinate lab procurement and testing enhancements.
• Support PEM program oversight, swabbing, investigations, and corrective actions with operations.
• Train and mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and support audits and certifications.
