Ridgeview Health Center in San Diego, CA is seeking a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse Program Supervisor) to provide nursing leadership, oversee clinical programs, and promote evidence-based practice to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction.

This full-time RN role requires CA licensure, at least three years of supervisory experience, and participation in quality improvement activities.

• Certified Infection Preventionist.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing leadership and clinical oversight to improve standard of care.
• Mentor and onboard RNs, conduct on-boarding for new admissions.
• Attend and contribute to clinical policy development and QA/QI activities.
• Supervise licensed nurses and coordinate RN in-service training.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-6:30PM

General Summary

The Clinical Nurse Program Supervisor (CNPS) RN provides skilled nursing leadership and clinical oversight with the aim of improving the standard of care. Utilize, train, and promote evidence based practice to facilitate positive clinical outcomes and high resident satisfaction. The CNPS responsibilities include assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) in mentoring and onboarding registered nurses, new admission assessments and adherence to clinical programs and protocols.

Duties And Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership:

• Serve as clinical resource to nursing department and provided education as needed for complex admissions.
• Provides leadership to specific standing clinical meetings as assigned (e.g. At Risk Meeting, GDR, etc.)
• Participates in licensed nurse annual development reviews
• Provides input and recommendations to new and/or existing clinical policies, guidelines and protocols.

Staff Supervision & Education

• Assists DON in direct supervision of licensed nurses.
• Reviews RN clinical competencies
• Assists Director of Staff Development (DSD) with coordinating RN in-service training.
• Partners with DSD for planning of Clinical Skills Fair

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Improvement

• Monitors staff adherence to clinical protocols related to resident assessment and care planning
• Assists with clinical record audits and follow-up
• Responsible for specific QI clinical indicators and reports to the QI Committee
• May attend meetings to include but not limited to: Risk Meeting, Care Conferences, PDPM Huddle, Weight/Nutrition, GDR/Psychotropic Stewardship, RN

Other

• Conducts routine rounds
• Assists with workflow management and problem resolution

What You Will Bring

• Must possess current CA license as registered nurse, BSN preferred.
• Must have minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Certified Infection Preventionist
• Position requires individual to be detail oriented, organized with strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate and present data and recommendations to interdisciplinary committee.
• Demonstrated competence with use of electronic medical record, PCC preferred.
• Ability to flex schedule based on facility needs
• Current CPR certification

Other Certifications Are Encouraged

• Adult Gerontology certification
• CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) Certification
