Job summary

Ridgeview Health Center seeks a Quality Assurance Registered Nurse (CNPS RN) to provide skilled nursing leadership and clinical oversight, improving resident care and outcomes. The CNPS will mentor nurses, supervise admissions, and ensure adherence to clinical programs and protocols, in a hospital-like long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, data presentation to the interdisciplinary committee, and collaboration with the DON and DSD to coordinate RN in-service

Qualifications

• Must possess current CA license as registered nurse, BSN preferred.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Detail oriented and organized with strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate and present data to interdisciplinary committee.
• Competence with electronic medical record, PCC preferred.
• Flex schedule based on facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical resource to nursing department and provide education as needed for complex admissions.
• Provides leadership to specific standing clinical meetings as assigned (e.g. At Risk).
• Participates in licensed nurse annual development reviews.
• Provides input and recommendations to new and/or existing clinical policies, guidelines and protocols.
• Assists DON in direct supervision of licensed nurses.
• Assists Director of Staff Development (DSD) with coordinating RN in-service training.
• Partners with DSD for planning of Clinical Skills Fair.
• Monitors staff adherence to clinical protocols related to resident assessment and care planning.
• Assists with clinical record audits and follow-up.
• Responsible for specific QI clinical indicators and reports to the QI Committee.
• May attend meetings including Risk Meeting and Care Conferences.
• Conducts routine rounds.
• Assists with workflow management and problem resolution.

Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-6:30PM

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nurse Program Supervisor (CNPS) RN provides skilled nursing leadership and clinical oversight with the aim of improving the standard of care. Utilize, train, and promote evidence based practice to facilitate positive clinical outcomes and high resident satisfaction. The CNPS responsibilities include assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) in mentoring and onboarding registered nurses, new admission assessments and adherence to clinical programs and protocols.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

What you will bring:
