Job summary

EMD Electronics seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the analytical lab in Charlotte, NC and oversee the ISO 9001 quality management system. You will guide QA/QC staff, ensure certificates of conformance, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

You will coordinate audits, investigations, and risk reduction with manufacturing partners and customers, striving for reliable quality and compliant operations. Domestic travel is limited to under 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related life science field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing and quality labs, with 2+ years in people management.
• At least 2 years of ISO 9001 quality management and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day quality activities of an analytical laboratory in Charlotte, NC.
• Own the laboratory’s ISO 9001 quality management system (QMS).
• Guide quality assurance and quality control colleagues.
• Coordinate audits, customer investigations, nonconforming product decisions, and risk reduction initiatives.
• Partner with manufacturing and customers to turn data into action and drive continuous improvement.
• Travel is <10% and primarily domestic.
