Job summary

Virginia Transformer Corp. is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for its Rincon, GA site.

You will lead all QA functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, industry standards, and customer requirements across incoming, in-process, and final inspections. The role requires extensive QA leadership experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 7+ years in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment; transformer manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• ASQ CQE/CQA or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level quality leadership and act as the primary liaison for customer quality concerns, audits, and inspections.
• Oversee inspection and testing, ensure traceability and documentation for inspections, rework, and nonconformances.
• Maintain ISO 9001, IEEE/ANSI/IEC standards and customer quality requirements; support audits and inspections.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for internal quality issues and customer complaints.
• Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to drive plant-wide quality initiatives; train staff.
• Manage a team of quality technicians, inspectors, and document control personnel; set goals and evaluate performance.
